# Overview
## General
- **Roleplaying Guidelines.** The failure of the Pride Saving Throw is meant to represent a character's deeper progression into arrogance and pride.
- The player should aim to roleplay in such a way that accurately represents the character's stage of progression.
<br>
## Progression
- **Pride Saving Throw.** If the character expended at least one Pride Die, they must make a WIS Saving Throw at the end of their next [[Long Rest]].
- On a successful save, the character suffers no effects.
- On a failure, they suffer the effects of the next level in a [[#Curse Stages|Stage]].
- The base DC increase based on the Character's Level (see [[#Pride DC Table]]).
- **Stages.** The character begins their journey of Pride at [[#Stage 1]], for each Pride Saving Throw they fail, they suffer the effects of the next level in a Stage.
- Once the character reaches the end of a Stage, the next time they fail a Pride Saving Throw, they go to the next stage.
