# Actions Needed
You can take the [[Utilize]] Action or a [[Free Object Interaction]] to pick up an object.
# Exceeds Capacity
**Athletics Check.** If an object’s weight exceeds your [[Carrying Capacity]], you must succeed on a STR (Athletics) check to lift, move, or manipulate it.
**Repeat.** After you successfully lift the object, move or manipulate it, if you are required to make a sustained effort, you must repeat take the STR (Athletics) Check at the start of each of your turns to maintain your hold on the object and repeat the STR (Athletics) check.
**Utilize.** A failure on these checks counts toward your limited number of failures as seen in the [[Utilize]] action.
# Determining the DC
The DC equals to 10 or (The Object's Weight – Carrying Capacity) $\div$ 10 (round down), whichever number is higher.
# Working Together
Two or more creatures can work together to move a heavy object if its dimensions allow. To do so, the creatures take the [[Utilize]] Action simultaneously to make a STR (Athletics) Check.
The following factors apply to the check:
**Combined Capacity.** Use the sum of all participants' Carrying Capacities to calculate the DC.
> For example, if one 10 STR Character and another 15 STR Character wish to work together to lift up a 600 lb object, the 10 STR Character can carry a weight of (10 × 15 = 150 lbs) and the 15 STR Character can carry a total of (15 × 15 = 225 lbs).
>
> The DC is equal to (500 lbs – 150 lbs – 225 lbs) $\div$ 10 = DC 12.
**Average Roll.** To succeed, the average of all results must meet or exceed the DC.
